Idaho Press Article- Treasure Valley Liquor License Costs See Increase
As someone who is not in the industry (just a consumer), this makes me so frustrated. I strongly believe the latest round of restaurant closures (and lack of new openings) is tied to lack of liquor licenses. Hard to make the margins you need without hard alcohol- just like the article says.
However, I understand the damages to existing holders if the system was “opened up”. Any good ideas / proposals out there for a fix that can accommodate both sides?
