The 85-year-old actress made an appearance on Twitter overnight in a very endearing 10-second video shared by her daughter, Finty Williams.
In the clip, while dressed up as a dog, Dench suddenly spins around to face the camera, pulling a cord that makes her ‘ears’ pop up.
“Oh! There you are,” Dench says excitedly. “Just keep laughing. That’s all we can do.”
Dench is one of many celebs keeping fans entertained while staying home to prevent the rapid spread of COVID-19.
English singer and actress Elaine Paige shared a clip last night with advice about cleaning phones and bank cards.
Dressed in a gold jacket and wearing rubber gloves adorned with flowers, 72-year-old Paige sang “Don’t cry for me, I’m the cleaner” while scrubbing her bathroom tiles.
“Being super-vigilant about hygiene will help stop spread of #COVID2019,” Paige captioned the video on Twitter. “As well as washing ur hands, my tip is 2 wipe down ur mobile phone, ur bank cards after shopping & ur surfaces at work & at home! #Corona HATES cleanliness! #Corvid19uk #SelfIsolation #keEPsinging #StaySafe.”
Meanwhile, Kevin Bacon has launched a campaign to encourage people to stay home amid the outbreak.
Referencing the popular game Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon, the actor asked fans to name who they’re staying home for amid the ongoing health crisis, before nominating six others to do the same.
