I lived in Boise a few years ago for school, and enjoyed myself. Left because of COVID but I moved back recently for a new job. I’ve been here for five days now and I couldn’t be any unhappier.
My apartment is okay and I’m paying a fair rate for it, my job is good and fulfilling, but for some reason I’m not happy with living here. I’m originally from the Magic Valley area so Boise is obviously a very different kind of living, but it feels so uncomfortable, expensive, and stressful ever since I got here.
I’ve had nothing but trouble trying to get basic utilities set up, having issues with address changes for my accounts, having issues getting basic furniture delivered to me, having issues with loud/alcoholic neighbors that wake me up around 3-4 in the morning constantly.
I already want to leave Boise and it’s been less than a week. I don’t know if the city has changed or if I’ve changed since I last lived here. Have any other recent transfers here felt so horrible? Am I just being too anxious?
